Have you tried Prime yet?
We've found the benefits of Prime membership well outweigh the costs and we've been members for a few years now.
It's almost tailored to those who enjoy life on the road.
Getting Amazon items quickly (Sometimes the same day!) and delivered to a local locker, when we are on the road, has saved us a quite a few times.  Prime Video, the Kindle Lending Library and Amazon Music keep us entertained on the road and the unlimited cloud photo storage keeps all our precious memories backed up, all included in our Prime Membership.

Essentials

Here are some of the Campervan essentials we've tried and would recommend.

You can check out our video review here.

A Mains Socket tester will indicate if the supply you are connected to is safe. Highlighting Reverse Polarity or no Earth

When travelling in mainland Europe many campsites don't have the standard 16Amp "Blue" sockets. This adapter will let you connect to the commonly used 2 pin sockets

If you find yourself on a campsite with reverse polarity (pretty common in mainland Europe) this lead will correct the polarity keeping you safer.

This combined Carbon Monoxide and Smoke alarm will help to keep you safe in your campervan.  Its one of only a few recommend by Which? in independent tests.

A fire blanket is an important piece of safety equipment we always carry

A dry powder fire extinguisher can be used on most types of fires but can reduce visibility in a small space

We also carry a F-Exx foam extinguisher, which has impressive results (see video)

A simple and cheap spirt level is a great help to getting your van level. Making it more comfortable.

When you can't find a level spot to park, a set of ramps is a great aid to making things more comfortable. This set have been great for us, very robust and come in their own travel bag making storage easy.

A wobbly van, be it from the wind or kids moving around can get annoying, a couple of these light weight jacks helps to make the van more stable and comfortable.

Keeping warm or cool in the van is really important to us, we found internal thermal blinds for the windscreen and cab windows just weren't up to the job.   This exterior screen has been superb and is still holding up well 6 years after purchase.

Helping to connect to most exterior taps a set of these help us to keep topped up with drinking water.

For any strange taps this universal connector from Hoselock has come to the rescue a few times.

We found pegs often aren't up to the job of securing our awning when the wind gets up. These coach screws with an awning tie down kit and electric screw drive are an easy and secure alternative.

Not the exact model we use but ticks the same boxes

Again not the exact tie downs we use but a good set none the less.

Having a refillable gas system in our van being able to fill it is key. A set of LPG adapters for use abroad is vital.

We've saved ourselves (and a few other campers) time and money with our OBD2 fault code reader.  A cheap and simple device to help diagnose problems with your van.

A simple, clean and easy solution to the breakages that can often happen on trips.

Another simple repair solution we have to hand to keep us on the road.

Tape that sticks to everything!  Not much more to say!
Picture

There isn't much that can't be repaired with cable ties, so we always have a pack onboard.
